Click Read More for detailed instructions on how to drive to us from all four directions. (If you type our address into your phone, it should come up and you can follow the directions. Cell phone reception can be iffy around here, so bear that in mind. If you want us to meet you at Preston or at the intersection of Hwy 54 & Hwy 73, text us or call us ahead of time and we’ll be happy to lead you in. Our number is 816-797-6245).
Coming from the West
If you’re coming from the west, as in the Kansas City area, select either I-70 East to Hwy 65 South through Sedalia on to Hwy 54 at Preston, turn left at Hwy 54 (east) and take it about 9 miles to Geronimo Springs Road (gravel). As you approach Geronimo Springs Road, you will drive over a bridge that is over the Little Niangua River. Several hundred yards after that, you will see a road sign on your right that says, “Lynch Road’). Turn on your left blinker then. You can only turn left (north) at Geronimo Springs Road; proceed about 1 mile to Starlight Cave Road (gravel) and turn left. You can only turn left there (west). Take it about 1 mile to a yellow house where there is a fork in the road. Turn onto the left fork and the cabin is the only dwelling down that gravel road in 225 yards. You can’t miss it.
Coming from the North
From the north, if you find your way to Sedalia, you can follow the directions above from there.
Coming from the South
From the south, if you’re driving from the Springfield area, your best bet is to take Hwy 65 north to Preston and turn right (east) and then follow the directions above from Preston. You can take Hwy 73 from Buffalo, which is a couple of miles shorter, but Hwy 65 is faster and more direct, so it’s six of one, half dozen of the other.
Coming from the East
From the east, if you’re driving from the St. Louis area, and you want to take the scenic route, you can take Hwy 50 to Jefferson City and turn south on Hwy 54 and take that through Camdenton until you reach Geronimo Springs Road. So, if you’re interested in taking in the Outlet Mall and Osage Beach attractions, you might want to consider that route. (start early)
If you do not want the scenic route and you just want to get here, then you need to take Hwy I-44 South/West to Lebanon and then turn right onto Hwy 64 West and turn right onto Hwy 73 North and then take that until you turn left onto Hwy 54 West. In about 4 miles, you will come to Geronimo Springs Road, where you will turn right. You will be coming down a hill as you approach Geronimo Springs Road and you have to slow down significantly in order to make the turn, so be careful. At the top of the hill prior to the turn, look for two signs that say, “Stanton Chapel Cemetery.” Start slowing down and put your right turn blinker on then.
